I just recently watched SMV and agree totally with your conclusions. Just too much senseless violence. I then watched SLV, and again, agree with your conclusions. The deepest impressions of violence are caused by what is not shown. Then it's not in our eyes but in our minds, a much scarier place. By the way, do your remember an incredibly gorgeous female duet in the soundtrack. It's definitely medieval period in quality. I looked it up on utube. It's called Mareta nom faces plorar. Take a listen if you have a chance; utterly gorgeous.Anpahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01361613209015524111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3856798792320939017.post-1849482649299429842012-04-23T13:26:52.770-07:002012-04-23T13:26:52.770-07:00Powerful barely even BEGINS to describe this film....Powerful barely even BEGINS to describe this film...Nathanael Hoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01667245328396233986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3856798792320939017.post-25934616022314133142012-04-21T22:36:15.080-07:002012-04-21T22:36:15.080-07:00I saw this film in Japan (I rented it out of a Jap...I saw this film in Japan (I rented it out of a Japanese video store), where it didn't have English subtitles, so I am looking forward to seeing this film again in English.
